Fundamentals of Zi Wei Dou Shu you need to know before starting to analyze charts
First and foremost, let’s stop referring to Zi Wei Dou Shu as “Purple Star Astrology.”
The star central to Zi Wei Dou Shu is the Polaris star, which has no association with the colour purple. In ancient China, “Zi Wei” (紫微) is the formal name for Polaris and an alternative term for “Emperor.”
You might wonder why the image used in this course features the Big Dipper. The reason is that the stars we analyze in Zi Wei Dou Shu are those surrounding Polaris. These stars revolve around Polaris, symbolising the emperor due to its fixed position in the sky.
This course is designed for beginners who want to build a strong foundation before diving into chart analysis, interpretation, and making future “predictions.” Since there is a lack of comprehensive English resources on Zi Wei Dou Shu, this course aims to bridge that gap.
Learning Zi Wei Dou Shu is a long and challenging journey, so I encourage you to be patient and enjoy the process. With over 3,500 consultations and counting, I am an active practitioner conducting daily sessions and offering guidance to those seeking answers. What I teach is not merely theoretical—I will incorporate numerous real-life examples to help you grasp the concepts and eventually apply them yourself.
If you’re deciding between learning BaZi or Zi Wei Dou Shu, know that both methods are equally fascinating and practical. Zi Wei Dou Shu excels in providing detailed insights that BaZi cannot. While BaZi can often predict what will happen and to whom, it usually lacks the precision to identify the specific cause or manifestation of events. Zi Wei Dou Shu, on the other hand, can uncover the root causes and offer greater detail.
Zi Wei Dou Shu is often considered more approachable for beginners, but mastering it can be just as—if not more—challenging than mastering BaZi. Personally, I don’t favour one method over the other; I use both together in consultations to enhance my analyses and cross-check findings.

We offer an unconditional 3-day refund policy on all courses. No refunds will be granted after 3 days from the first purchase date of each course. If you have previously received a refund and purchase again at a later time, the new purchase will not qualify for the 3 day refund period. The refunded amount will be less foreign currency and platform fees of about 3.4%.
3) Chargeback
Students should contact the admins first regarding requests for refunds or to inquire about unrecognized charges before issuing a chargeback request with their bank. We reserve our right to dispute chargebacks if the charge is not fraudulent and no communication from the License holder is evident.
